maybe i should get my girlfriends bro to take a amplifier video for you guys of the amps voltage at the speaker terminals while on music. 12" Type-R on 800RMS, daily, and handles it like a champ.

A pair of type-rs will WALK all over a pair of SE's. And yes, before you asked, I have owned both.

IXL's I can't comment on though.

To the OP, I wouldn't run more than 700 per type-r 10" for daily. They only have a 2" coil, but they can take SOME abuse.

But trust me when I say that for the money, the type-r cannot be beat. They can be had off ebay for under $100 a piece all day long.

Type-r's hands down. The SE's might sound better, but I will guarantee that the type-r's will dominate in output.

SE's don't take as much power as you think. They aren't designed for high power handling. I would feed an SE the same amount of power as a type-r.

ahhhh, i have first hand expreance with the SEs dude, feed my 15" SE 1.2kw for over a year. i eneded up selling it in perfect working order. the SEs coil got a little warm and there was a slight smell of a warm coil, but the SE kept goin. i havent had losts of seat time with the new type Rs. the odd install here and there. as i said they do what they intend to do. they get pretty dang loud off there recomened power, and can take a few more watts, but there not as clear sounding for the price we pay around here. what does $270 get you guys in the states from your local car audio shop?? W6, entry level Focal. Boston G5s are around $450 last i checked at a local audio store. yes a relize i just listed off a few SQ drivers, but just using them to show what $270 can get on the other side of the boarder.
