type r with fosgate amp

i just blew the sub i had running with my type r. they were both running off a rockford 300s. now that i have one sub hooked to the amp, whats the proper way to wire it

you blew to sub from a 300s??? a single type R can take that...... how do u abuse the poor sub?

well anyway the punch300s is 300x1 at 4ohms doesn´t it.. then wire the sub to 4ohms..

the type r is the 4 ohm.the sub i blew was a jl w3 300rms...i dont know how it happend. First of all both my subs were running fine, then one day my 300s just didnt turn on...sent back in...got fixed...when i got it back and hooked it up, the jl just didnt work. if you push on the speaker it wont even move. a local audio shop guy said the voice coil was pushed out...anyways, how do i wire that r? just +to+ n -to-?

Is DVC 4ohms, so you can only have a 8 or a 2 ohm load, so if the 300s is at 4 ohms you can´´t get those 300watts you can only get the half with 8 ohms or you can fry the amp with 2 ohms.. but since is two channel you can wire each channel to a voice coil.. but that like weird i don´t know..

unless you have digital gains and can set each channel EXACTLY equal don't wire a channel to each vc. you could wire it to 2 ohms, if it gets hot then wire it down to 8 but if not then leave it. ya jus gotta make sure it has plenty of air and be careful when playin it for long periods of time. i did this with my ma-audio amp for over a year and it only went into protection once but after i got it proper ventilation it never happened again.

wire the + on one vc to the + on the other and the - to - then jus + to +one the amp and - to - on the amp.
