W6 has the better SQ....Type-R is cheaper...both can get loud

I would go with the JL hands down over the Type-R but thats just me

I was gonna say the w6v2's SQ is 10x better than the R's. Well not necessarily 10 times but the w6v2 walks on the Type R in SQ IMO.

With a TCAB box tho the R's might give the w6's the business in output

i've heard both....and both sound good....i would say the type r just because its soooo much cheaper....but its in what your loking for...

if you're looking for sql the w6v2 is the best but the R is a good sql woofer too... the type X is a great sq sub it's as great as the w6v2 sqwise...

final choice w6v2 if you have the money
