I like the m3s but have no real experience with them ( I do run M3Mojos, but never M3s) and have some experience with the type rs, the type rs would want more power than the 1000 i believe.. Not sure if it would be the same case with the m3, but i dont think the m3 are that power crazy..

yea i had a 12'' memphis m3 and it was a good sub cheap can get decently loud but ive heard type r's and they louder...m3s bottom out too easily
