Type R Sealed?

I am still in search of a decent sub that won't break the bank. I was looking into 8's, but I may have a sweet deal on a 10 inch Alpine Type R. With my trunk (and wanting to save space), I will only be able to run it in about .9 cu. ft. sealed. I should have 400-500 watts to it. Will it perform well? I know you need to run it ported to get the best sound from it, but that isn't gonna be an option. Thanks.

i have a 10 type R that i used in the truck. do not go sealed with that sub. when i ported it, it sounded 100x better. and ported wouldn't be that big of a box if you keep it to around 1cu.
