Type R question

I have a 12 Type R, and am building another box for it.

Would 1.5 cf tuned to 32 hz be ok? I'll be throwing 500 watts rms to it. I searched, but it seems most people are using 2 Type R's, vs. 1.

Also, I'll be using a slot port. Does it make any difference if I make it wider and longer vs. narrower and shorter?

that's pretty small for a 12 inch R. closer to 2 would work better. 2.25 seemed best to me. and i think the standard for slot port is a 1:8 ratio or less.

Go bigger with 500 watts.

2 to 2.5 cu @ 35hz...should go nuts.

Just stick to normal rule of 12-15 sqin of port per 1cu of air space and it should be good to go
