I currently have a sealed box for my 12" type-r, ive got a 600 watt amp at 1 ohm running the sub.

I was considering getting a ported box since the sub isnt quite as loud as I would like it to be.

I have a couple questions beforehard: I have a 1.25 sealed prefab right now, what size ported box should I use on one 12" type-r?

and how much of a difference should I expect? this might be one of those things that differs ALOT depending on different setups, so if you cant answer this question its fine.

You should have the specs on the subs recommended enclosures.

I've heard it put it like this. "Sealed vs. ported difference: sealed is like screaming with your mouth closed."

it will be a night and day thing. i say around 2-2.5cu tuned to around 30hz will be real nice.

x2, i will have mine tuned about 32 or so, but 2-2.5 sounds perfect.
