i have a question, im thinking about getting 2 type r's. i currently have 2 running off of aq1200d. so id have a total of 4. if i got another aq1220d, each sub would be running on ~600watts. cant r's take upwards of a thousand? i want it as LOUD as possible

1ohm if you have 4 D2s

if they are dual4ohm type r's they could be wired at 0.5 ohm load, 2ohm load, or 8 ohm load. if they are dual2ohm type r's they can be wired at 1 or 4 ohm load.

there is a guy on here that competed with (1) 15" type r givin it 3200+ and i am pretty sure it lasted him a long time. that was only few second burps tho for the most part

Somehow my coil got misaligned. I never blew the sub, it just makes a lot of noise now.

If you want to get them loud then you must be really careful with them Mine was loud as hell, but the weak spiders may give up on you.

anything to know on how to be careful? i listen to them at the MOST of 50 volume, with occasional clipping (have a bass knob with detector that came with my aq) at like 52-54ish

and what would difference in ohm load do?
