Type R, or Type X

I have a type x 12 that I plan on running with a jbl gto1201.1. What I am wondering is, because Id like to save some money as well as some weight, what if I were to run a Type R off of a jbl bpx500.1. In doing this I would save weight because of obvious reasons, the r weighs less than the x, and the 500.1 is lighter than the 1201.1 i am sure. And I am sure I could get 200 out of my x, the r can be had for around 130, and the 1201.1 and the 500.1 is about an equal value trade off. I would be cutting power in half but the power consumption would also be cut, I dont want to have to upgrade to a high output alternator, this is 100% geared towards sq, of course Id like some bass, and I think a single type R running off of 500 watts RMS would provide quite a bit of bass while remaining clean and clear. Remember this is in a ***** am, so you get more for less. I have had so many different ideas as far as what to do. I am about to just sell everything!

Why are you saving weight? The difference in weight between 20 and 25lbs. in the back of the car is a non factor dude.

Get the X if you are going for a more musical system,

If you want loud get the R.

i have never handled a type r, didnt know they would be so close in weight, and in reality, more weight on the back wheels might help me a little lol, i think the problem here is the wait, i cannot install the stuff because it is so flipping cold and its just sitting in my room, after I hear everything hooked up I am sure the feeling will pass.

Def. go with the X. If you hadn't already bought the equipment, i'd say wait for the new Ascendant Audio Arsenals. But the X will sound way better than the R, and not much weight difference.
