im up in the air on what cuft to build for my ported box, alpine says 1.5cuft and iv heard people on here say go bigger, so before i build, what you guys think of 2cuft@34hz? thats what im thinking or smaller 1.75@32hz or even smaller 1.6@32hz??? what ?? go!!! lol and the reason i can only use these is bc i found free blue prints and specs to build these boxes... thanks!!!!

I'm going to say he probably listens to a lot of metal. Hence, the screen name. I'd say 2 cubes at 34 is decent for a lot of applications. I wouldn't give it any less room. I don't care what Alpine specs say. They like more room than 1.6.

cool, ill be giving it 1,500w @1ohm if the cadence z7000 actually puts out that much power... lol and yes mainly metal but i like everything, i like bass. everyone says do more than what they recommend so i will..

it does if you give it the power if not it wont. it is a power hungry hog but sounds amazing with the right power. my fav 1500 rms ever it sounded so sweet but it needed extra batteries and big 3

see its a class a/b amp the z1200 or z777-d were the class d and class g amps. the 777-d was supposedly a hybrid but was a lot more money

i have big 3, on stock alternator but i am using a beefy battery... if i need a bigger alt, ill get one. i dont want to get into running more batts tho... not interested in going that level with the sound. lol

update!! i build the 2 cuft @34hz ported for one sub and it is loud as **** and sounds amazing!! definitely a good box for the type r's!!! building another one this weekend for the second sub!!!
