The difficulty with this thread, is every answer I think of is one I end up not posting for fear of ridicule. If you could elaborate, perhaps bring out your intentions, maybe others could be more help than me.

In that case..

Assuming clean power, I'd give it anywhere from 750 to 1000 watts. Even at that level - carelessness could be killer.

so i could get a hifonics amp that is 750 rms at 1 ohm and wire the sub at 1 ohm and that should be okay?

We set a Type R 12 in 2.5 cubes at I think 33 hz, and maxed out clean power on an MD2, and it took it just fine. Still working til this day. We clipped the living hell out of it as well, and it took it.

Good sub/amp combo IMO.
