i am going to be building a ported box for for a alpine type r and i will have a alpine v12 650 to power it i know that the amp will not push the sub to its xmax or 10% under it or have the total control of the sub being under powered and all . i am going for sq with as much spl i can get with out lowering the sound quaility. i have some dim of my trunk in between wheel wells can fit 35 inches heigth is 18 inches and depth is 42 inchs i need to know what will be the bst enclouser type . i am sure to go with ported. i listen to alot of rock jazz and rnb. any help here will be great . thankyou

sry about that its a Alpine SWR-1242D (TYPE R) 12" im only familiar with velosity stacks and pvc 4" and 3" for ported boxes.and i have seen other types on here using the vent stlye is it better do you think
