They have a new basket design, and new surround. Pretty much same as the type x(looks)

You are thinking of the '04 vs. the '05

The '05 and '06 are the same sub.

if your talking the old" type r vs, the new ones, oh yea theres a world of diffrence in the subs, ive played both , and the older ones cant compare....word
