type r 12 or re se12 single sub setup

Which would be better off about 650 w @ 2ohms? both in a slot vented enclosure. Or any other suggestions? My budget is about 300 For sub and enclosure, It will go in a 06 Nissan Altima. I listen to mostly rap so i would like the best setup for BOOM!! lol

The Type R lacks the lows that the SE delivers

The SE is a better overall subwoofer. More efficient, is of better quality and gets louder.

both nice, But the SE will do better with the power given. The R will want more...

The SE is a great sub, gets loud and sounds good...

Sorry. I thought it said RE 12. I'd opt for the SE 12 over the R. Much better SQ and still gets loud.

ideal box: 2.0 cu ft vented tuned to 30 hz

some guys on here can build boxes for ya for $90-$100

I have a question about tuning. How is a box tuned at a certain hz? Also i found on ebay a se12 and a 2.0 cu ft box for about 300 shipped. The local authorized dealer in my area wants 350. would it be better to buy from my local dealer?

buy the sub from dimension then buy the box from Revrider
