Type E ????

On the alpine website and in the manual for the new redone type E...yes it looks new buts thats it.

However my question is the wattage on the redone model is 250 @ 4 ohms scv on both the 12 and 10 inch models, before the cosmetic redo alpine rated it at 200 watts rms @ 4 ohm ....

where did they get a extra 50 watts when the coil is the same...venting is the same the only new thing is the clean mounting gasket cover.

So whats the deal here:crap:

The voice coil isn't the only thing that determines power handling...

I can't even find the Type E on Alpine's site anymore...

They're good subs and they can handle that amount of power and a little more

look into some S's

they are very comparable to the type R, but the R handles more power and will take the low notes better
