Tyep R VS. RL-p 12 sealed?

Ok, well ive done some searching in the horindously long Type R thread...But i still couldnt find a defintaive answer on which sub is better in a sealed enclosure. I own a 2000 GMC sierra extended cab, and i dont want to go ported. The size of the enclosure will be approx. 1.5 cubes net, and both subs will see around 700 watts apiece. No i know that sealed is more oriented towards SQ, but I want the Most SPL i can get out of a sealed box. Which sub has the posibility to get louder. I would really like some serious answers, I have seen while searching that these questions get asked alot, but i didnt see a thread about this topic. Thanks

Man eugencis do you have any clue for real what the sealed sounds like? Mine sounds very good for being in the trunk of a cavalier. My buddys is in a truck and sounds great. So I dont know where your getting your info? I am sure the r's will get loud in a ported box but it has alot to do with what type of music you listen to.

Also I have never heard the rlp's myself but I have the type r's sealed in 1.75. It sounds great sq and spl is decent. It gets low and hits mid ok. I would ask speakerman about them as he has done alot of tests between the 2 if I am not mistaken. Peace!

1300w is pushing it a little. 800-1000w is a safer ranger.

yes, theres some shitty corolla running around here with one in it (in a nice looking box too) with some sony speakers claiming he competes in SQ comps

it'll handle it but watch your gains. in my experience with them, they work great with about 700-800 watts ported.
