Two Subs on Monoblock Amp?

I have two subs 4ohm DVC 250w Rms 500w max , I would like to use a monoblock 1200w amp that if I wire the speakers in 4ohm it will produce 400w Rms 600w max. with the subs in parallel how much of 400w is each sub going to recieve , maybe I am crazy but it does not divide power evenly does it?

With identical subs, the power will be divided evenly; so 200 watts each.

So in other words I am Crazy, Maybe I am stupi for asking this one is there a way (multimeter) to test how much power a sub is recieving?

well you can always use ohms law, check the impedence, voltage, and get your answer that way

Don't forget to calculate efficiency in there too, no amp is 100% efficient...

How about doing the math?

Starting with a given: the amp is putting out 400 watts into a 4-ohm load.

If you multiply the power (400 watts) and the resistance (4 ohms), then take the square root, it will give you the voltage at the amp output...40 volts.

You want to know how much each sub is getting. Since the total impedance is 4-ohms when the subs are wired in parallel, each sub must be an 8-ohm load.

In a parallel circuit, the voltage is the same through the circuit, so each 8-ohm sub is getting 40 volts.

Power is equal to the voltage(40) squared (1600), then divided by the resistance (8 ohms)...200 watts.

Each 8-ohm sub is getting 200 watts. The amp is putting out 400 watts total.
