X2 it when you get into high powered systems IMO, 2K and up, that alternators come into play. However every car is different, so one solution, might not apply to the next.Yes, an extra battery will help with voltage drops.
If you do decide on an alternator, make sure it's one that would satisfy you current system electrical currents, and if you decide to upgrade later down the road. IMO I'll get a 200a alternator. Maybe a Lil' big right now, buy it's a size you could upgrade on later. If it came down to a new alternator how many amps should it be for it to be fine with my new setup?
Thanks mccanng
yeah that's right. The redtop is a starter battery while the yellowtop is a deepcycle battery.I think it is an 80 amp alt. And can you have a red top in the front and then a yellow top in the trunk, or no?
Thanks Greg
where are you getting your quotes from?Would a 130amp alternator be fine for the new setup or need more amps?(asking because they are only 200 compared to a 200a for 600)
Thanks Greg
