Two amps, one choice (help)

Ok Im looking for one of these two amps, and these two amps only, to push 2 4ohm dvc re8 subs (175 watts rms each). Before anyone looks at me crazy, the reason I can only choose between the two are due to space constraints on the box Im currently making. Please dont try to convince me otherwise, Ive done the research. With that said my two (and only two) options are

1. Alpine mrp-350

200 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms

» 350 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms

2. Dei directed audio 600d

RMS Power at 2 Ohms 400 W x 1

RMS Power at 4 Ohms 275 W x 1

being 2 dvc 4ohm subs, my wiring options are limited to the 4ohm rms setup of each amp.

for the alpine, that makes for 200 watts between the two re8s, or about 100 each

for the directed 600d, that makes for about 275 between the two re8s, or about 135 each

Now normally I would choose the dei due to its cheap price, quality/reputation, and the fact that it can provide each sub with an additional 35+ watts, BUT the issue of it being refurbished complicates my choice.

My questions are this

1. Is the mrd-m350 underrated enough to justify going the alpine route when it comes to powering my subs?

2.does 35 watts per sub even make much of a diiference?

3. does directed even perform the right amount as advertised in the first place, or does it usually go over the rms?

4. How trustworthy are refubished amps from ikesound anyway?

5. To anyone who has seen or actually owned a directed 600d, are its demensions 10 11/16 L x 8 3 /4 W x 2 H exact? Is it really about 8.5 inches ide or is it 10.5 inches wide?

And finally, which amp in consideration of those questions would be the best choice and why?

both are good amps, I put the same alpine in my moms ride and it pushes her infinity 12" nicely, to answer your questions: from what I've read, directed amps seem pretty solid, refurbished amps are basically brand new, and I'm not sure of the dimensions or "better" brand in this case, both amps fall in your category and either one should suffice

I would do the alpine. I have heard that amp on 2 10" Mtx 5000's and sounded very nice. I have never heard the dei amps before, so cant comment on that.

did your amps birth sheet show if it performed the actual rms or was it underrated, or overrrated?

does it get that hot after a set period of time

These questions pretty much apply to anyone knowledgeable on alpine and directed amps. Im starting to get the impression that post count means a lot on these boards.

I dont know whos comming off more of a jerk here, me for expecting my questions to be addresed in a reasonable, fairly informative manner, or the way you initially responded.

Regardless, thanks to all those who helped me get a better idea of which amp to choose. Hopefully one day Ill gain the insight to be able to do the same.

my choice is the alpine!

leagues your sub's in parallel, being to 2 ohm in the amplifier.

you are with 350 wrms, that is what the sub's needs.

the amp's healthy alpine very good!

Why haven't you considered any two channel amps that you could bridge? Off of the top of my head I can think of the Clarion APA2160 that has a smaller footprint then the Alpine MRP-M350 and it puts out 280RMS at 4 ohms.
