Two alpine type E's or one type R?????

I am looking to hookup a 500 watt Alpine MRP-M500 amp. I was just trying to get some opinions on whether to go with one alpine 12' type R or two 12' type E's. I can get Alpines dirt cheap and because I have heard pretty good things about them. Thanks!

I would think if you have the room for a bigger box with 2x the port area compared to 1 type r, the E's would be better. from what i hear, It takes abit more than 500 to wake a type r up. so if you can get'em cheap try the E's first, if you dont like'em, sell them cheap on here then try a type AAARRRGGHHH.

how cheap is dirt cheap lol ,.... get a type x if u can get them that cheap and it will pound and sound good.
