im thinking about getting either some ID 8's, AA, DD, or some tang bands. would 2 of those (eventually be 4) be louder than a single 12? i seen vids of people hitting close to 140 with 2 DD 8's but not sure how much money they had in it

depends on whose doing the install //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

can I make 2 8's louder than 1 12.... sure...

id be doing it.. and im obviously not to good at it lol. cant even get my maw12 working correctly.. but thats just an amp issue (sounds like gains are being randomy turned up and down, its set right.. but bass notes drop as if there was no power, then come back on randomly)

It's possible, but will it be guaranteed for you?
Impossible to say...
guranteed for me? dunno.. probly have it profesionally done this time if i go that way. i hear 8's have great SQ and thats what im going for.

Then why are you concerned about getting louder than a single 12"?

Just because they have small cone sizes doesn't give them inherently great SQ...there are 8's out there that are at home in fart boxes, just as there are 15's that can stomp all over an upright bass line...

wiring issue.. ive heard that alot. ive checked so many times on my wiring. its wired right, in paralell. only thing i found odd was on my amp (monoblock) the +/- terminals are backwards. - is first the +. is this a mistake possibly? should i put my + in the -?

well because my friends boss has a nice setup, he was going for SQ. hits like 146 on the TL. sounds very nice, but hits very hard. i think he had 4, or 6 eclipse 10's
