Two 8" subs or one 10"

I have a 2001 Dakota Quad Cab and I'm wanting to add a little bass to it. I don't want to render the backseats useless so I'm planning on putting some small subs between the two front seats. I will be building a custom box and I'm stuck between using one 10" or 2 8" subs. I am really leaning towards the two 8" subs but not sure on which ones to get. I've heard good things about the w7's or is there something that would hit harder? I just want some recommendations on size and models.

Another issue is I don't know if I'm going with a ported or sealed box. I'm open to either one but I've always been partial to ported boxes. I'll take recommendations on this as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thanks

if you go ported then the dd 1508 will be much louder than the 8w7 and also has a much shorter mounting depth than the w7.how much power or what kind of amp do you have?
No amp selected yet. I was planning on picking the subs and then the amp to push them... I have nothing at the moment:D

fiy, i have and was running a 1508 in a tad less than 1cuft tuned to about 40ish and had it running on 1k and it flat got down. it will aslo do good on 500 rms but dont be afraid to send it a clean 1k if you go that way.

Thanks. A quick Google of the 1508 and I really like that I read. And the specs are very pleasing to the eye as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I think this may be the one for me.

There is a guy here in town with two w7's and I was very impressed actually

Try a pair of Sundown E8's ported.....you won't be disappointed.....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif:thumbupw://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif

you can get 2 1508's new from dd for less than one new 8w7. iam willing to bet that my 1 1508 on 1k is realy close to, if not just as loud as 2 8w7's.

and like was said, the sundown e8 is a good choice also but in the 8" world, the 1508 is very hard to beat.

Like was stated before the dd is a good choice, but for the price (I'm not sure how much the dd sub is) the E8's are pretty darn hard to beat......//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif:D:D

here is a pic of mine in my old truck. the plexi "loading wall is 1/4" thick.

that loading wall made a great diffrence and helped with power handleing.

oh ya the e8's are quite cheaper. the dd was just under $150 shipped from dd.
