did you take xovers and tweet in house n play them on home stereo? have any friends with amps? local shops?

dont have a house stereo, my one buddy has a kenwood 2 ch i could try , local shop is 1 hour away

yea your going to have to try that or start buying new stuff. with nobody local to you and you having no other means of testing the problem will never get solved. might want to get some used cheapo stuff to have around for testing purposes. spending 50- 60 bux on some cheap coax and a small 2ch would be handy about now.

You might be hearing the noise floor of your head unit and/or the amplifier. If you can only hear it at low volume that's the noise floor. I don't know the full story though on this problem you've been having.

I only hear it at high volumes.

i have seen it happen in an amp before. not sure why. he is in process of trying his focal coax's to rule some things out.

lol you do know that a voice coil will play music out side of a motor right?

Tweeters are much more sensitive to noise then mids.

watch the vid. all speakers are unhooked, just positive and neg going into the crossover mids and tweets are unhooked, and no rear speakers

well i hooked up my 4 inch coaxials strait to the amp and the tweets on them hissed also.
