not necessarily. like mentioned it depends on the frequency of the hiss. i just thought about it because i used to work on computers and sometimes you get a computer that makes a hiss sound while turned on....came to find out there were swollen caps inside hissing. usually the amp itself would be hissing but its still a possibility. try your tweets on your home stereo along with your xovers to eliminate the possibility its them. then you know its cables, hu or amp.whts funny? but if it was the amp wouldnt the mids have a hiss to?
