tweeters still hiss

well i took off my doors and switched the tweeter to -3 and turned my amp gain way down and it still hiss's, it improved a little bit but the hiss is still there. so what now?

Depends how high frequency of a hiss it is. Is it like a white noise sound or is it almost like a mosquito ring?

wht u mean like to a different amp or to the HU

to rule out the amp hook em up directly to the h/u.. if the hiss is no longer there than the amp is the culprit.. if its still there it could just be in the music you play or a h/u problem.. to check if its the h/u hook them up to the amp again and use a different music source.. like hook an ipod up using 3.5mm to rca cables to the amp..
