Tweeter shopping...

I see someone else took advantage of the Deal of the Weekend special on the DA-175's. Check out the TechTalk board over at PE, I know at least 3 people are doing MTM's using that speaker. I would suggest not using that Dayton tweeter. I bought a set and they were not impressive even for the price. Look into the Hi-Vi K1's or North Creek's. On a side note I bought one of the DA-175's to make a sub for my office. The modeling I've done has an F3 of 28-30hz, not too bad for a $13 6.5" speaker. The enclosure is a little large for a 6.5" though @ .92 ft.

I'm actually looking at the North Creek tweeter too. I'll give them a call tommorow. I'm a little put-off by their wonky website tough.

Yea their website is a little rough aound the edges. A friend purchased a set of tweeters from Northcreek and they were actually a matched set, I think they were only like $36 for the set. Not too bad for a matched set. The sound is awesome.
