Hey Guys, sorry I have been absent from the forum lately.

Here are some tweets I did for a member who shared the same car as me. I finished the other but just took pics of the process of one.

Enjoy!

WOW, I like it.

Give's me more idea for sails...so I assume you used FG? I didn't look that closely, I wonder if for something this small you could use someting else like bondo?

kitty hair? hm...how's that stuff work?

Eh, I googled it, so its a bonding application.

is it easier to sand to shape than bondo? turns out smoother?

Cause i have a free supply to bondo, so if its anything like that. This just gave me a BIG smile.

i do like them, but I would have molded all the way up to the edge of the pvc
I'll post up the A pillars I did for my nephews car in a sec

I see what your saying and some other people have said the same, however the point was to keep the pod as less bulky and weighted as possible //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

No fiberglass needed here. I did not need to create any shapes so I just used some filler. i didn't skip any steps with my pictures, so everything you see is pretty much what was done.

Well, I wouldn't use "bondo" brand on a mailbox hehe. Having doing fabrications quite often, the other fillers are much more easier to spread and sand alot easier. They also don't shrink under heat as easy as bondo would. Anyhow what I used is called Duraglass, it actually is like kitty hair in the respect that it is thicker, but it does not have the long strands of glass in it. I use it to shape different projects that don't need FG. It is alot thicker so it really helps out, however with a little more work, bondo should do the job //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
