The stock tweeter placement in my car is the top left and right corners of the dash which is angled right at the windshield and ive heard thats not a good spot, is this true? Otherwise i will put them in with the mid woofers on a sheet of MDF.

Unless you have some way of actually eqing and time aligning the tweeter I would not place them there. Your best bet is to keep the tweeter somewhere about 6 inches from the mid. If you had a way to time align it'd be a little different.

I fixed it that was not instead of now, anyways yea i guess ill put them in by the woofer, is the 6inches away a requirement?

no its not a requirement. you just want em close. so you dont start to hear separation .

It's just a general number I suppose. You don't HAVE to put them 6 inches away I was just making a suggestion that you shouldn't go any further than that really. Personally what I do is just move the tweeter around spots that are around the mid until I like how it sounds. /shrug

and like az said it's just a separation issue, that's why I said unless you have time alignment it's not worth it.

My tweets were the same. I have them mounted differently now on top of the grills pointed at somewhat, but they get too much reflection off of the windshield still so they get harsh and super loud at certain frequencies. I am gonna try and use the stock mounts just reversed so that they point into the cabin towards the middle of the car and see how that sounds. As for seperation, i do not notice it and have not had any problems with it.

Alrighty thanks for the quick replies, now i just need to install the stuff and figure out if i want 2db or 0db for the tweeters. Not sure if there will be a ton of difference but ill find out.

You could try wiring the tweets out of phase if mounting them in the dash as it "might" help out, plus the 0dB setting.

I put a set of CAL26's in a Charger a few weeks ago, in the stock dash location and they sounded fine. A little bright for me, but not overpowering his mids or anything...
