Tweeter noise

OK, maybe I never noticed it, before I got my components, but when there is no sound being played, it's like the tweeters are making this air flow sound, like it's when you get snow on the tv, the audio that comes along with it, but its really low on the tweeters, but i still can hear it since it's near my head. What could cause this, I'm thinking it's my amp, or the X overs, but I'm not too sure. I think the rear speakers do it to but ill check it out tommorrow. It's doesn't really do it, or it's drowned out when music is playing. I don't think its alternator noise because it does it with the car off to. What could be doing this? Btw, its the infinity 6000CS, on a sony 200 wrms 2 channel amp, but the amp is also running my rear speakers, so it's in 2 ohm load for both channels.

BTW you will always hear some small hiss sound when you are not playing any music and you have your volume at a high level, that is normal. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/imdaman.gif.bc6c552e19aa4ad8c47461144f40eb1a.gif

that is called noise....check your connections or try to lower your gains on those speakers a tad to see if it goes away- and no its not normal, not when you correctly setup your system. If its there, you have noise entering your signal chain.

Its a posibility the noise is coming from your amp running @ 2ohm....

Thanks, this amp is garbage anyway, so I'll see if I can get rid of the noise by messing with the gains and such, and I'll swap rcas with my sub amp, to see if anything changes. If nothing works, I'll just get a good 4 channel amp. Thanks for the help.

Find a fix for this problem? Mine are doing the same thing. Lowering the gain all the way made it less noticable but its still there. If i unplug the rca's from the headunit it also goes away when i remove one of the rca's from the amp it goes away but if i remove onoy the other one the noise is still there. No pinches in the rca or anything. Noise seems to escalate with the rpm.

This isn't necessarily true - I can have my volume cranked full tilt and if there is no output from the source (tuner, CD, whatever) then the only noise to be heard in my car is my 40-series tires humming against the pavement. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
