I know maybe you guys are going to say use the search feature or check out the tutorial.. I did go thru those and I dont feel secure with my "answer" so I prefer to ask you guys and get an straight answer

but the problem is that everyone keep posting- use -3db 50 hz or 60 hz.. some say no just use 0 db..

which one is the ideal test tone for me to use to set my bass amp?

From my experience, -3db test tone was effective for me.. but I forgot which hz test tone did I use before..

I am still learning about all of this tuning stuff so bear with me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

so which one would you use 50 hz or 60 hz at -3db?

Also I will be setting my LPF at 90 hz, I will not use bass boost at all.. and set the gains accordingly using DMM.. ( I will set everything up on HU the way I like it and then set the gains )

Any other suggestions?

Help would be appreciated, I just want to have everything and every answer before I start on my build in few weeks..

either one will work just fine.

-3 db is if you want to run the power at around what music is (ok if you're not overpowering ur subwoofer)

0 db is for when ur giving ur sub a lil more than rated power and dont want to fry it when playing normal music.

I always feel much better if I set it with DMM, not by ears I dont know why ha..

and I guess I should be using 0 db since I am overpowering my sub a bit.. I got a ZX2500.1 powering a CD Omega sub which is rated at 2,000W RMS

also I should have everything set up the way I like it (the EQ n all that) before setting the gain on my amp correct?

some would tell me to set everything to default before setting the gain.. but I was pretty sure that I have to set it the way I like it so the amp wont be clipping or whatever when I turn the settings or the sub up..

also I will be using remote gain which will be turned all the way up when I set the gains

If you see that I am doing something wrong, then please say so! thanks
