Turn on/off thump after EQ install

Turn on/off thump started only after I installed the EQ, which is mounted to my front-dash. I've tried moving the EQ's remote to both the HU's remote wire and the car's accessory wire but still end up with the thump. The only change is whether the thump occurs when the car turns off or when the car turns on. Is there any thing else I can try without buying something to delay the amp?

Or ground to the same place.

The issue usually happens when too many components are turning on at the same time.

They are already grounded together to the factory HU ground location.

Cool now you have to move it til it doesn't do it anymore.

Reason why people are telling you to move the ground is because the thump is coming from a ground loop. Basically the eq does not have good enough ground so it is using your rca's as a ground (at least when you turn it on). So that is whats causing the thump.

Connect the ground to factory harness ground AND connect it to nearby metal.

Fixed it.

Turns out, I installed the EQ according to wire color. Red on the EQ is battery, and so is the ignition. Oops. I also relocated the ground, and all is well. Thanks for the suggestions. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
