On the Headunit DO NOT use the DB or BASS BOOST setting if you have subs it distorts the signal

What do you mean by the DB setting is that like the 0-15db on my subwoofer output? If I turn it down to 0db I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to turn my gain way up.

My sub amp doesn't have the ability to disable the LPF so I have my sub amp LPF at around 80-100hz but on my HU I set it to 60hz.

i was told to 0 the eq, and set the amp first then do fine adjustments but im just starting out so i dont know how useful my info is.
