Hey guys. I have a few questions with system. I've got it all installed and am looking for some advice for tuning. I understand the lower the Hz is for bass sounds and the highest for Tweeters.
Here’s what I have in my 2005 Mustang GT
Head unit - Kenwood KDC-x696
Amp -Alpine MRP-F300
Speakers - Alpine Type R 6.5" components
Speakers - Alpine Type R 6"x8" Co axels in the rear deck
Sub Amp - JL Slash 500/1
Sub - JL 12" W3v3 in a power wedge box.
What is a good starting point for my frequencies? My head unit and both amplifiers have HP/LP filters (sub amp only has LP filter), which should I use the amps or the head unit?
I’m sure I need to read thru the manuals to get a better idea but was hoping for some general tips or links to some threads already created that either have similar equipment or something very close. For example I’ve read a few people have found success with the -2db setting on the tweets crossovers, I’d like to hear more about people experiences with this equipment if possible.
Thanks guys!
