Hello All. I installed a system in my car a few months ago and its sounds ok but not what I think it should be. I have all infinity reference speakers and amps. The amp is a 475a. 4channel, 75watt rms X4 at 4ohms. It also says 90watts RMS X 4 at 2 ohms.
1. The components, (6030s), say that they can handle 90 watts RMS at 2 ohms. My question is do I have to wire the speakers up in a special way to achieve this impedance? When I originally set it up I just hooked up each component, tuned by ear and left it. I'm thinking of trying it again with a DMM or getting the DD-1.
2. The subwoofer which is a 1060w single coil is 275 watts rms at 4 ohm. So my question is do I have to wire this any differently then simply hooking it up to the positive and negative terminals? Is there any special way I have to hook it up to gain 4ohm impendance?
Thanks for looking at this. I know its not the best stuff to put in a car, but it sounds ok to me and I like it.
Also I f my sub is facing the back of the car, does that mean that I should select reverse phase or 180 degree phase on my headunit?
Im new to all this stuff so any info is appreciated.
