Ok fellas this is probly a stupid question. But i am looking to buy some sound deadener and was wondering what is the diffrence between 50 mil and 80 mil. I assume 80 is thicker and better but just want to make sure. Also is there a noticable diffrence in sound between the two.

Also check out audiotechnix.com some great prices on the b-stock stuff. 60 mil will work for just about anything you need but if you have a panel with a lot of surface area you may want to use 80 mil instead

Sound Deadener Showdown or Second Skin are the places to go. They have the best products. 80Mil is thicker than 60Mil and more effective.

I used 25sq ft of audiotechnix 60mil on my front 2 doors and the difference is pretty significant, i just did my entire inside and out of doors instead of getting thicker stuff

ok i have a gmc sonoma ext cab truck. (s10) so how much do you think i would need to do my whole truck.

from what i hear 6-7sq ft a door is sufficient, as i said i used 13.5ft a door but i have large doors i completely covered. Midbass almost doubled though, u can hear it much better now too

Also, remember you only need to cover 25% of flat surfaces. Blanketing the entire area does little but waste product.
