Tuning a crossfire vr4000d

JW....since my gain is at about 25%...no clipping!

If I wanted to burp would I be ok to just turn the gain up for it. I know I will get a lot more power and clip like a *****. But would I be ok for only 15-30 seconds with the hdc3?

did you learn how to set the gain properly yet?

yea rule of thumb is liek 12hx below port tuning, there is a calculation but i dono it,

but how is your crossover set at 135 and 100 hz??

lol, yeah I know that....I already reconed my hdc3's once

I followed the formula: watts x ohm load.......and take the square root of that

So I set it as 4000 x 2 ohm = 8000 and the square root of 8000 is almost 89...

correct? I also ran a 50hz test tone while setting the gain

my crossover is at about 135hz

my lpf is at 100hz but I will lower the lpf to around 80

haha..yeah I'm already thinking of doing a type r wall or 4 hdc3 in a wall.

This setup should be good for the school year tho
