trying to understand the difference in power (watts) at different loads(ohms) of vari

I recently set my gain on my sub using a multimeter using a formula of sq root of (watts x ohms) to get the voltage

So my speaker is ratted for 2 ohms. It actually measures 2.4 ohms. My amp is rated to put out 500 watts at 2 ohms. But what is it putting out with 2.4 ohms?

I'm wondering if the amp output is a result of a formula related to the load off the speaker and if so how do I calculate the true wattage at 2.4 ohms. Or is it 500 at 2 or close to 2 and 300 at or close to 4 ohms?

I want to get as close to the calculated voltage on the outputs of the amps as I can by adjusting gain.

Am I over analyzing this thing? I think I am simply because I cannot for the life of me find any articles or formulas to solve for what I'm trying to solve.
