Trying to keep Steerig wheel controls

VEH is 03 Escalade EXT w/ Onstar & Bose

HU is Eclipse AVN 6600

Hooked HU up fie with Onstar Bose module and all works fine. Now I need to add Steering Wheel controls so I use the Pacific Accessory Corporation SWI-ECL. It is made for this unit and Vehicle. Still it is not working...

When I press VOL down I get onstar...

nothing of the other buttons on the steering wheel work work.

Also I need to connect the veh lights to the Eclipse lights. Which wire do I connect to what?

did you program the SWI-ECL? it's a specific process. you program each button on the steering wheel.

A friend of mine did the install and does it for a living. He said he got irritating work until he pressed the vol or seek down button and then it activates the Onstar. We couldn't get past that

Just reprogram it, It sounds like when he is programing it he is skipping a few steps. It takes a couple times to get it right and it HAS to be programed in the correct order. I have done hundreds of these at work, just be patient and you will get it to work

I found the instructions online but I will need some help getting it back in the truck. This stuff is greek to me.

See what a local shop will charge for this. They can also make sure the rest of the installation is safe. You don't want to drive a fire hazard, and since you won't know how to identify one, a set of professional eyes can't hurt.

Im missing the colored wire plug that goes to my SWIECL... (Left side of PAC)

Can I get this anywhere or do I need to buy a new SWI?
