Trying to hold da black man down!

you really need to check into the law then. you are required to be able to show proof of who you are if asked. if you can not or will not then you can be arrested. it would be a slap on the wrist but that is the law.
I don't think you have to open the door. I am not speaking on this specific case, but if you don't open the door how can they demand you show ID?

but since all you know how to do is throw out useless commentary and insults, maybe you have a career in talk-radio or comedy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif
Pot calling Kettle

all he had to do was explain the situation. but nope, he decided that it was al sharpton day and he was black and did not have to cooperate with the white cops.

wonder what would've happened had the cops been black?

you don't know the law either, he didn't have to explain anything. its his house, all he had to say to the cops was "get off my property" and they should've complied.

If the cops could just go around snooping in YOUR HOUSE how would you feel? You'd be pretty pissed off I bet

show me that law, i'd like to see it.
if you want me to pull up a criminal code i could find it. its a misdemeanor offense. the Supreme Court has ruled that state laws allow a cop to arrest someone for refusing to provide idenification. especially in a situation where its a possible crime being commited. as i said it would be a slap on the wrist. i dont really like the law nor does the ACLU but until a court says otherwise its a law.

just call your local pd and ask them if they can arrest you if you refuse or cant prove who you are when asked to if there is a possible crime being commited.

I am willing to bet that if you are in your own home, you don't have to provide ID unless you let them in.

once again nonsense. they werent trying to go in. they were asking him to step out and provide proof of who he was. in the end he complied but only after making a scene.

pull it up, that doesn't apply when you are on your own private property.

he didn't have to step outside, its his house. he had the right to tell them to get off his property, he didn't call them and they had no warrant to be there.
