you don't know the law either, he didn't have to explain anything. its his house, all he had to say to the cops was "get off my property" and they should've complied.
If the cops could just go around snooping in YOUR HOUSE how would you feel? You'd be pretty pissed off I bet

cops get a call to my house for burglary, and i want to be a dick and tell them to fck off. wouldnt that be probable cause to assume you are the burglar?

the cops didnt show up at his house because he is black. thats retarded. they were there because of a burglary call. i never side with cops, but they were doing there job. he came out the door, saw white cops and from that point on he didn't cooperate. he could have said "this is my house, and i had trouble opening the door". that would explain the situation and they would have left. they didnt just bust in and start rummaging and snooping through his house. they were there because they were told someone else WAS doing that.

I am willing to bet that if you are in your own home, you don't have to provide ID unless you let them in.

in some cases that would be true im not arguing that at all. in this specific case they were trying to find out who he was and if it was indeed his property. he didnt get arrested for being black. he didnt get arrested for burglary.

he was arrested for disorderly conduct. the same thing someone thats drunk and making a scene could be charged with. it was a justified arrest but wouldnt have even gone to court. the fact he made such a big deal about it and Sharpton the "speaker for all blacks" (in his own mind) got involved is just sad.

Probable cause is the EXCEPTION to needing a warrant. You DO NOT need a warrant if there is probable cause to believe something illegal is occurring.

so bottom line: guy was a jerk, got unjustly arrested.

he didn't have to step outside, its his house. he had the right to tell them to get off his property, he didn't call them and they had no warrant to be there.

all he had to do is prove it was HIS PROPERTY for all the cops knew it wasnt. the man made the mess he was in by refusing to cooperate.

they didnt need a **** warrant. they were on a call to a suspected break in. no need for a warrant at that point.

A call was placed for burglery. The owner did not identify himself. Imediate probable cause.

report to a break in. that IS a witness to a possible crime. maybe they should have just not bothered and if there was someone else in there they could have killed the asshole when the cops left.

say a game warden comes to your house. you arent home. guess what he can kick the door in and tear your house apart if he thinks you have drugs or anything in there. you do not have to be home, give permission, etc.... they have more power than almost any agency

you are failing to pay attention to the key point of the arrest. the cops were called out to a suspected break in. all he had [/]to do was talk to the cops and provide id when asked for it. instead he decided to make a scene. the most recent article says charges were dropped anyway. no doubt because he screamed racisim was the cause. theres nothing to show that it was at all.

i hope his house gets broke into and then he expects the same dept to help him then.

trust me he doesnt...none of us nigguhs do...u see WE get arrested not protected...but most whites dont understand that because they know the system at least works for them sometimes...im not racist, but if you were not there how can u say it was not racist...i dont agree with al sumtimes, but he's not there to make sense..hes there to shed light on the fact that blacks are discriminated against...if he doesnt do it, who will? it will still go on anyway but the simple fact that we are debating it right now is a good thing...if not he(the man in article) would another mad nigguh thats been wrong by police...story of our life tho... i wont say what i really think because i have respect for all races...but its not just blacks who a certain way about white people...

1. they could have detained him under suspicion he was a burglar for not cooperating.

2. you dont need a warrant when you are on call to possible crime being commited.

3. yes im white and hell yes i have been fucked by our "wonderful legal system." as well as our wonderful govt while i was in the military.

if you read the original article he refused many times before finally giving them the identification. thats not why he was arrested though. he was arrested for disorderly conduct which was directly related to how he acted.
