Trying to give Dad some bass...please help

His headunit is a Pioneer DEH-P3700MP with no sub preout. I have the power,ground,and connected the 2 rca's to the rear preouts on the h/u.

Still not working....amp is not even getting power. Ground is good, power wire is good, and sub is connected to amp correctly.

I'm stumped.....I really want to get this done for him tonight......

There is a terminal on the amp marked "remote" that has nothing attached to it.

Amp is brand new.

Need to hook up that remote wire to a switched 12V source. Usually in the harness for the HU. Blue or Blue/White wire.

How do you knowyour connections are good? did you test the power with a voltage tester?

are you 100% sure your ground is good? dis you check your acc wire?

is that the same as a y adapter or line out converter?

its the remote wire man it will be a blue wire in the harness with a white striped. Take wire and connect it from there to the amp where it says remote. Than you can have fun listening to the bass

Back of deck should have a remote wire, usually blue. ur gonna have to get that wire to the amps remote terminal. It has nothing to do with RCAs...

Sub preout has nothing to do with the remote. It's a wire from the harness that turns the amp on only when the HU is powered on. So you don't kill your battery or leave your amp on for no reason.

No. Pull the head unit out. On the back is a solid blue wire that's in with the rest of the wires. It iwll probably say REMOTE on it, if not, that's the remote wire.

Run a wire from there to the REMOTE imput on the amplifier. That's where it gets its 12v signal from. It has to have the remote for the amplifier to work.

Where did you ground?

it has nothing to do with the the preouts. It is a wire from the wiring harness should be blue with a white stripe. Do you have the rca's hooked up?
