Trying to find 2 ohm 6.5 speakers

As the title states, I'm looking at getting a Kicker ZX350.4 and would like some 2ohm speakers seeing as my cheap lightning audio's can't keep up without distorting badly. the amp is rated at 90w at 2ohms and unfortunately my budget is pretty low, about 150. so far I've only been able to find Infinity kappa 60.7cs or kappa62.7i on ebay. I'd like to find a solution that is either a set of coax's that can take some power or some components like the Digital designs ddc6.5 that allow you to mount the tweeter on the mid bass because I may not have the car to long and don't want to punch holes to mount the tweeters in it.

im only putting around 40 watts to my midbass and they hit hard and are very musical up to 2k ive had to set the db's down -3 to get them to match up with the rest of my front stage.

i suggest you look for more efficent(sp) speakers rather than just getting 2 ohm mids.

After some digging I found the speakers I have now are about 86db and the kappa 62.7 are about 94db sensitivity that would be a very noticable difference even without increasing the power, correct?

I have a set of Image Dynamics 2 ohm Mid Bass speakers....They put out some awesome mid bass...almost like a mini sub....the upper mid section is extremely clean as well...
ID's tend to be very efficent(sp) but then again how much power you throwing to them? and passive or active //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

2 ohm speakers won't necessarily increase the amount of output put out by your speakers. The amp will double its power, and in a perfect world, that would mean an extra 3db of sound. But it doesn't always work out that way because of the increased inefficiency of the coil (assuming the motor doesn't change).

I would suggest looking for more efficient speakers rather than just dropping the impedence.

Question still stands, I would also be going from 55 watts off a cheap amp to 90 off a kicker zx
