Trying to catch a friend in a lie.

A friend of mine got accepted to the same college as me and I keep asking her what classes she is taking but she keeps telling me she hasn't enrolled because our high school lost her ACT scores //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif I mean come on there is more then one copy of your high school transcript in your personal folder, and I'm sure if you were really trying that it wouldn't be too hard to get ahold of those scores. With her GPA and the scores she made on the ACT I didn't think she was going to get in so I was suprised when she said that she did, so I'm thinking that she is lying about getting accepted. Now the school I (we) are going to has a deal with like a community college I guess and if you don't get into the University, they feed you some load of money love ***** story that you can go to this school and still feel like an OSU student blah blah.

Here is why I'm thinking that she is lying. I have never seen her acceptance letter, her test scores would cause her to take 0 level courses next semester because she didn't score too well. Her name is not in the student email system, mine is and so are some of my other friends. Yes I know what you are thinking if she hasn't enrolled why would it be in the system, well my name was in the system after I got accepted and before I enrolled. I figure it will be really obvious when school comes around and she won't have the same student ID, she won't have student tickets for football or basketball games, a school parking pass, or an ID on facebook etc...

If she is lying, why would you lie about that when it would be so obvious when school comes around that you didn't get accepted? If its because you feel stupid, then what the hell makes you think lying about getting into college would make everyone think about you? I wouldn't think someone was stupid for not getting into school, but I would defiantly make fun of someone trying to fake getting into school. I know all signs point to yes, but I still don't see why she would lie about something like that, considering she has already got an apartment up there and everything.

No. She is one of those people that doesn't like to ask for help, so instead of her paying out of the *** for a tutor, I would tell her that I would help her as much as possible with anything that she needed help on. I'm not trying to make her feel stupid, just trying to find out why she would lie about it.

If she feels the need to lie about her accomplishments, I doubt I'd care. Let her wallow in her own delusions, she's not fooling anyone else.
