trying 2 put together a spl project

I have a little 93'' Mazda B2200 series truck and am just trying to figure out what the best system i can get for it.. this is one of the system that i put together.

what is your budget?

and for your your top setup...think about putting it in a ported box instead of sealed. ported is more for SPL than sealed is. and also, L7s need huge boxes too, so keep that in mind.

the RE SEs will do pretty well too.

its all in the install...the right box is very important

How big of a box you plan on making, and what are you gonna tune it to?

it not going to be a competion spl project just a daily driving spl beast. i know the box for ported L7's have to be big but am going to cut to back wall of my bed and slide the box up to the back seat a little bit and the sealed box would fit right in there. but i might just go with the SE 12's.. i figure some out. no buget really just not trying to spend to much on this little truck just want to hard chest beating spl..

the se in a ported box ( does that box have to be big ) i'm thinking

going for the two re se 12's for two reasons

1. To many people down here have kicker subs, never heard of re se series subwoofer.

2. I heard the re se 10's and it was beating hard than ever, with only a old school Punch 360watt Amp

For that amp, you'd need a subsonic filter. I know ED is coming out with an amp, or already came out with it, heard good things about it, and I believe its pretty cheap, it's worth looking into.

nah...for daily driving the subsonic filter isnt really neccesary. the ED amp also might not put out enuf power...the SEs take 600 watts RMS...the JBL does it @ 2ohms. the ED, not sure but its 1009 @ 1 ohm--->less than that at 2 ohms. just go with the RE SE's. you will be very happy with them if you put them in the right sized ported box and hook it up to that amp.

thats only @ 1 ohm...at 2 ohms its about half that.

ok you arent going to be able to get much power with that amp: it is only about half the JBLs RMS @ 2ohms....that amp is only 1500 watts RMS @ 1 ohm. you shouldnt jump right into that. the subs sound good, but you will need 2 seperate boxes (or one with a divider) and an amp that gives around 1200 watts RMS....like the JBL: that cadence gives about half of that

Whats the coil config on the SE's, DVC 4? That can be wired to 1 ohm, if the amp is one ohm stable that is

okay help me here what amp should i get. the JBL BP1200.1 but you said it didn't have some for ported boxes
