But here's a post I just made. I think if you want louder than this, increase cone area. Cause maybe the RE XXX, ED12a can take 1000 watts, but it can't do it w/o bunchs of heat. Heat mean power compression. My money would say 4 12's $150 each, beats 2 12's @ $300 each every time. (assuming your getting these, drivers)
I'm also saying that at levels where you can actually be in the car... these should work about the same as a ED12a. (although that's a theoretical assumption, subs pretty much operate in a theoretical zone)
They have an aluminum woofer from TC Sounds. They show it moving the same amount of air as a Brahma.

12" woofers displacement per dollar comparison:
* 2.33L for the AV12 at $140.00 = $60.09 per L
* 1.53L for the Dayton DVC12 at $119.20 = $77.90 L
* 1.89L for the Titanic MKII at $149.80 = $79.26 per L
* 1.52L for the Shiva 12" at $125.00 = $82.24 per L
* 2.38L for the Brahma 12" at $369.00 = $155.04 per L
Supposedly that's linear displacement which would make it a really good buy. (well except I don't think you can buy it for $140, it's $150.

Looks sweet, lot of woofer for $150.
Not affiliated, realize that it hasn't shipped.
