Ok my bestfriend is looking for a new set up. I didnt quite kno what to tell him so i turned to the message board. I think he is going to buy a Tsunami 1800 next week. So that will be his amp. He has between 400-500 to spend on two 12inch subs. He listens to mainly rap music so SPL is a must but no muddy spl. like a 70/30 spl/sq ratio. I suggested to Sexxx but does that sub gets really low. Looking for ground shaking bass while sounding decent. 2 12A's would be unbearable, 2 12 HC's would probably do well to. Or a 15" XXX 03' Model, or 15A...15" Brahma...2 Magnum D2's were on sale for 200 a piece, not sure if the sale is still going on or not.

I've personally got a single 12A and it's unbearable at times and that's in a sealed enclosure. If he went with a ported 15" XXX or A I'm sure it would provide plenty of bass.

thanks for the reply. He already has a dual 12 box so single woofers wont work. Any more suggestions out there?

For the really low price range, seXXX would be best bet to handle 1800 watts for the pair

I am not sure what impedance it has but i have been listening to my frineds HC 12", and the xxx is like twice as good. It is probably the best sub out...ground shakin sq is more like it

I am with the 2 eD 12As. With 900 watts per sub, you are going to go nutz with all the rattle and pounding they will do.

From what i've heard, the SExxx is a mix of the SE and xxx. Hopefully it has the spl of the xxx and the sq of the SE but not the other way around, that would be weird

i say the A's as well. obviouisly they get freakin loud but theyr SQ is supose to be top notch as well. but i have the Regular SE's and theyr only 10's Sealed and they get freakin loud so 2 12" SeXXX would be awesome. SQ on mine i think are very good as well i dont know about the SeXXX though

400 for the both, those things would rip you A NEW ONE!!
