trunk cars

i might sound biased but..it easy to hit 150right power and the right box and your good to go

i didnt say the rite sub because me and a friend was bullshitting one day and built a box for 4 pyramid super blue 10's and was able to do mid 140's with music on the tl mic at the kick

so i know if we burped it..we could have seen close if not 150 on the dot

I'd like to see you break a 50 in my vehicle without walling it off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Simple to say "right power, right enclosure"...but much more difficult to actually do it in reality.

my 8's were loud in my maxima...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
yeah, but weren't you the 8 re8 guy? Heh

My 06 mustang trunk sucks, not only small but you couldn't even fit a midget through the trunk opening.

ive been through 6 boxes this season and 2 differents sets of subs to break the 150 in my grand am its alot of testing and building to do break the 150....every car is picky initsown way...dynomat helped my score in some places in my trunk and in other places in my trunk i had to remove some to get the couple tenths back that i lost after the dynomat...so far ive hit 151 xx but will be over 152 at finals next month

I have hit into the mid 150's with my cutlass and it was a lot of work. I had spent close to 600 bucks just for my box and completley redoing my rear deck for the port. It was a lot of cutting and bracing and the box was built inside my car. I had 4 9500 MTX 12's off two Modded MTX 1501d's and it was loud, very loud! I miss that car. I guess if I was more into certified comps back in the day instead of local shows I guess from what other people have said I would be considered one of the loudest trunk cars around. News to me as it was just local shows I went too.

I have a 94 accord with 2 15'' L5s in a sealed box right now. I am really wanting to port them but have yet to find a box design that would work in my trunk.
this car has to have one of the smallest trunk openings i've ever seen... it isn't that the trunk is all that small, its just that the shape of the opening and the trunk makes the space alot less usable than it could be...

that said, my new setup will only hit mid 140's because i want a lil trunk space back, and i'm compensating with an assload of power lol...

80-- what box? pics?
i dont have pics..i wasnt thinking about taking pics when me and my friend did this......the box was a huge 4th order bandpass it was close to a one note wonder cuz the ported chamber was so huge...but when we turned that epic on it was a wrap

each 10 was in .7cubes playing into a common 8cube ported chamber with 1 156 sqaure inch port tuned to 70hz

I wish i had that much room to work with.... in my case to be in street im pretty limited to what i can do as far as mods i cant cut no metal ect... and the way my trunk is im limited to box size ect....this is where it gets tough to work with only the space i have for the batteries amps and box....and then to stay within the rules of the class now i could jump up to modified or modified extreme and that would give me alot more options...it likes the subs all the back in the trunk with subs firing into the cabin best box position ive found for this car anyway...
