trunk cars

this car has to have one of the smallest trunk openings i've ever seen... it isn't that the trunk is all that small, its just that the shape of the opening and the trunk makes the space alot less usable than it could be...
that said, my new setup will only hit mid 140's because i want a lil trunk space back, and i'm compensating with an assload of power lol...

try an 05 mustang. that is by far the smallest opening.

My 06 mustang trunk sucks, not only small but you couldn't even fit a midget through the trunk opening.

they say 3 golf bags can fit in the trunk of our cars (i have an 05) but i have yet to see that bullshit. Im building in trunk.

so anyone have any tips? build in trunK? expanding foam? bracing? tons of deadener/ensolite? beefed up electrical?

also, how do you screw the box together if you build it inside the trunk? you wouldn't have clearance to get a drill or screw driver between the top of the box and the roof or the sides if you made it the entire sized of the trunk.

I refuse to build in the trunk, I will not have 100lbs of mdf stuck in my trunk that I can't take out when I go racing next spring. So I will have a tiny 1.5 cube box for 2 8's that will fit in via the back seat opening.

If I were to build in the in trunk I would do biscuit joints, dry fit the enclosure outta the car then just put in the biscuits and hammer/clamp it together inside the car.
