First time posting here, hoping someone can help me out. I have a 2002 Dodge Caravan with an MTX subwoofer with amp already installed. I'm now trying to install my door speakers, since I was told those are the next easiest things to put in. However, I'm running into a couple of problems.
For one, my 6x9 Rockford Fosgate Prime speakers won't play anything when hooked up with my SPL 840 watt 4 way amp. I don't know if it's the speaker wire, the speaker itself, the RCAs not carrying the signal... Amp says it's turned on and working, so I don't know what else it could possibly be. I had to use y-splitters on my RCA outputs on the headunit to split them between my sub amp and the new one, but that shouldn't cause any problems though, right?
Secondly, when I disconnect the old speakers from the door, the dash speakers go out with it... I'm assuming they're on a circuit together. However, it seems whatever connector harness they have doesn't fit the standard adapters for my model of car. The pics below show the connector and the harness of the old speaker. I just need to figure out if I could buy special adapters just to cross-wire and finish the circuit, or somehow fit some speaker wire in the connector and cross-wire it that way, I'm not sure.
Like I said, any help with this would be greatly appreciated! I really don't want to pay $65 for installation after I've put in all the wires and RCAs already....
