Cousin has 93 Acura with stock amplified BOSE interior speakers.
Installed:
AudioPipe 1500d
Alpine Type R 12"
Stinger Stinger Line Out Converter (tapped in to year 6x9's)
Problem:
*With gains all the way down sub is still getting signal from the car and pulsates enough to make the cone move a half inch or so.
*Sub gets bursts of power when certain things happen such as:
-opening passenger door (where power wire is ran)
-opening driver side door
-etc.
The amp is grounded very securely to the floor of the car.
Sounds to me like it's getting a highly boosted (distorted) signal at the lowest volumes and I have no idea where to start.
